Client: Te Auaha (Student Project)

Inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories, and the diversity of our native birds, this project aimed to explore the stories of our native birds through illustration.

The illustrations were built entirely from circles on Adobe Illustrator. However before I took them to Illustrator, each illustration began as a pencil sketch. I took care to honour the more organic forms of each element as well as work out how these forms could be built from circles. The result was dynamic, geometric yet organic illustrations.
